Sometimes, the shipping cost written on your parcel's waybill might be a lot more or less than what you actually paid when buying it. Here's why:
- When we book the shipping online, the delivery company gives an estimate of the cost based on things like how heavy the parcel is, its size, and its value.
- The paper with the shipping cost is printed before the parcel is picked up, and it shows the estimated weight and fee.
- But when the delivery people pick up your parcel, they check its weight and size again to make sure it matches the estimate.
- The delivery company later sends us the real cost for shipping in a separate bill. Even if it's different from the estimate, the paper with the shipping cost doesn't change.
If you want to know the actual cost we paid, you can ask us for a copy of the receipt.
