Surface Mail, also called Ground Mail, is a way of shipping packages without using airplanes. It's often used for large or non-urgent items because it's cheaper. But the trade-off is that it takes longer for the packages to arrive.
One reason for the delay is that Surface Mail travels by sea, road, or train, which can be slower than flying. The delivery time depends on how much space is available on these transportation methods and how the weather affects them. So, it can take several weeks or even months for a package to reach its destination, depending on how far it has to go.
Another reason is that Surface Mail doesn't have a guaranteed delivery time. That means there's no exact date or timeframe for when the package will arrive, which can be frustrating for customers. Plus, there's no tracking system available to see where the package is during its journey, so people can't easily check on its status.
If you choose Surface Mail, you need to be patient and trust that your package will arrive eventually. It can take anywhere from 8 to 24 weeks, so it requires some waiting.
